You are interested in covering the whole project cycle, from acquisition of new donor-funded projects to negotiations and technical/financial backstopping of on-going projects? Moreover, you like to travel worldwide for fact-finding, backstopping and short-term missions? We are currently searching for a Consultant/Project Manager (m/f/d) with a relevant background and experience in transport (e.g. roads, rail and/or urban mobility) to start as soon as possible IN OUR HEADQUARTERS IN BAD HOMBURG (NEAR FRANKFURT AM MAIN), GERMANY.

Your tasks in brief

Tracking of projects/early intelligence, research of background information;
Contact to/networking with donors, clients, partners and experts;
Management and coordination of the acquisition process, including preparation of Expressions of Interest (EoI) and technical proposals, staff recruitment and fee negotiations, identification of consortium partners, support to the preparation of financial proposals; and
Organisation and lead of fact-finding missions to the recipient countries.

Project implementation

Management of projects from a technical and financial point of view;
Coordination and supervision of transport and/or infrastructure projects;
Review and preparation of reports;
Technical, administrative and logistical support for the project team on site; and
Donor, client, partner and expert management.

Consulting assignments

Missions abroad (short- and medium-term) in international transport and/or infrastructure projects.

A BACKGROUND THAT CONVINCES US

Academic degree (Master), in a relevant field such as transport planning, traffic engineering, civil engineering, economics, or similar;
At least 3 years of experience in the transport sector, ideally in the consulting business as project manager for corresponding projects;
Proven experience in the acquisition and management of transport projects;
Knowledge of donor procedures and requirements, especially KfW, GIZ and EU is a plus;
Generalist experience in several transport subsectors, e.g. urban and rural road;
Business fluent language skills in English and French;
Strong writing, communication, networking and team-working skills;
Work experience abroad in target countries for development cooperation; and
Sound user knowledge of MS Office package.

Sie sind daran interessiert, den gesamten Projektzyklus abzudecken, von der Akquisition neuer geberfinanzierter Projekte bis hin zu den Verhandlungen und dem technischen/finanziellen Backstopping laufender Projekte? Darüber hinaus reisen Sie gerne weltweit für Fact-Finding, Backstopping und Kurzzeiteinsätze? Wir suchen zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt einen Berater/Projektmanager (m/w/d) mit einschlägigem Hintergrund und Erfahrung im Bereich Verkehr (z.B. Straßen, Schiene und/oder urbane Mobilität) für unseren Hauptsitz in Bad Homburg (bei Frankfurt am Main), Deutschland.

Ihre Aufgaben in Kürze

Tracking von Projekten/Frühaufklärung, Recherche von Hintergrundinformationen;
Kontaktaufnahme/Vernetzung mit Gebern, Kunden, Partnern und Experten;
Management und Koordination des Akquisitionsprozesses, einschließlich der Vorbereitung von Interessenbekundungen (Expressions of Interest - EoI) und technischen Vorschlägen, Personalrekrutierung und Honorarverhandlungen, Identifizierung von Konsortialpartnern, Unterstützung bei der Erstellung von Finanzierungsvorschlägen; und
Organisation und Leitung von Erkundungsmissionen in den Empfängerländern.
Projektdurchführung
Verwaltung der Projekte in technischer und finanzieller Hinsicht;
Koordinierung und Überwachung von Verkehrs- und/oder Infrastrukturprojekten;
Überprüfung und Erstellung von Berichten;
Technische, administrative und logistische Unterstützung des Projektteams vor Ort; und
Management von Gebern, Kunden, Partnern und Experten.
Beratungseinsätze
Auslandseinsätze (kurz- und mittelfristig) in internationalen Verkehrs- und/oder Infrastrukturprojekten.

EIN PROFIL, DAS UNS ÜBERZEUGT

Akademischer Abschluss (Master) in einem relevanten Bereich wie Verkehrsplanung, Verkehrsingenieurwesen, Bauingenieurwesen, Wirtschaftswissenschaften o.ä;
Mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung im Transport-Sektor, idealerweise im Beratungsgeschäft als Projektleiter für entsprechende Projekte;
Nachgewiesene Erfahrung in der Akquisition und dem Management von Verkehrsprojekten;
Kenntnisse von Geberverfahren und -anforderungen, insbesondere KfW, GIZ und EU sind von Vorteil;
Generalistische Erfahrung in verschiedenen Teilsektoren des Verkehrs, z.B. Stadt-, Straßenverkehr;
Verhandlungssichere Sprachkenntnisse in Englisch und Französisch;
Ausgeprägte Fähigkeiten in den Bereichen Schreiben, Kommunikation, Networking und Teamarbeit;
Arbeitserfahrung im Ausland in Zielländern der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit; und
Fundierte Kenntnisse im Umgang mit dem MS-Office-Paket.
